“I think you have a wonderful business! I also think your rehabbing results are more detailed and have a finer finish than some of the other Australian US real estate brokers claim to have. Just listening to you discuss a drainpipe at the front of an Atlanta property that needed a bit of fixing up - other businesses would not have worried about that in their rehab. A chance conversation with a girlfriend in the early part of 2011 tweaked Sabine’s interest and curiosity. She listened to her friend lamenting about missing her partner who was at that point in time on extended leave in Michigan USA. On further enquiry, she was told that her friend’s partner was in Michigan looking at investment properties and vaguely mentioned his involvement with Cash Flow Gold. In a way, this is where Marc’s story loosely begins but if truth be told, it’s more his sister Sabine’s story, or journey for want of a better word. For me, it all started with that phone conversation with my friend. My brother Marc had, a few months beforehand sold his apartment in Sydney. As the Sydney apartment was an investment property he found that, between taxes, inflated state property prices and poor return performance, he was reluctant to reinvest in the Australian property market.
Being the gypsy that he is, my little bro certainly didn’t want to be tied down to an investment he couldn’t pay for outright, and he wanted a healthy return to boot, go figure!
And this is where Cash Flow Gold enters the scene. Camera, Action!! [Have you noticed if you use the acronyms GFC for Global Financial Crisis and reverse it to CFG, what do you get? Cash Flow Gold, of course! Sorry that’s how my brain is wired.]
But seriously, this was not an overnight decision and a lot of thought, research and enquiries made went into the process. What did I know about the US property market, zilch! And remember, it wasn’t my money I was playing with, it was Marc’s, and as his appointed Manager I couldn’t really afford to make a mistake no matter how small or affordable the investment was going to be. I’m glad to say it paid off, since that first call to Cash Flow Gold, we haven’t looked back since!
With his first property in lovely Eastpointe Michigan now tenanted, Marc is looking to invest in a second property. Guess who’s going to have to do all the leg work. Yep, you’ve guessed it!
In the end of the day investing in property in Michigan was a no brainer really. Aside from real estate affordability, the resurgence in the state’s s economy through manufacturing, entertainment, retail, tourism and growth in employment opportunities was the clincher. With growth, people need decent, affordable accommodation right? Hello, here come the Aussies!
Right from the word go Jason and his team at CFG were great. There was no confusion over fees, or any future costs for that matter, CFG was very transparent in that regard from the start. It was also reassuring to know that Cash Flow Gold was founded and based on Jason’s own personal experiences and misgivings with the direct open US property market.
Due to family and work commitments, neither Marc nor myself was able to physically go to Michigan for a visit and do a tour for a little look and see before Marc’s first investment purchase in Eastpointe. For me, having the ability to do it all remotely on a laptop and phone from Australia was fantastic and much to my surprise painless, a little bit Star Trekky come to think of it! This goes to show just how reassured and confident I was in my dealings with Jason at CFG, his team and network in the United States.
From connecting us to an accountant, opening a USA bank account, dealing with the legalities of the country, domestic tax requirements, foreign currency exchange facilities, property purchase authority, purchase and property management, exclusive house refurbishments and repairs, right down to the stringent screening for that right tenant has been a seamless process and experience that I’m certain wouldn’t have been achievable had I not dealt with the right people to begin with.
With no hesitation whatsoever, Marc and I have since recommended Cash Flow Gold to friends and family looking to invest.
Where to next I hear you ask? Well, you know that second property I need to put nose to laptop? Here I go again with the certainty, confidence and knowledge that I’m in good hands. My little bro owes me big time!!

I had to write and thank you for all of the amazing information just on your website alone! I have been searching the net looking for well-priced properties to invest in all over the United States, being from Canada our options for bank owned property is very limited. I was able to find the perfect investment property through your site and I didn't have to travel to the States to check it out before the purchase.
